How does SiteSupport work?

With SiteSupport you'll be able to share a browser session with another person and see all the actions the other person is doing. Using SiteSupport is easy; simply login to your Dashboard and whenever a person requests support, a new 'session card' will popup. You can then click this card to start your shared browser session.

With SiteSupport you can handle multiple sessions at once and switching between sessions works just as tabbed browsing, simply click the card of the session you want to see.

How do I use SiteSupport?

There are two to use SiteSupport, you can share a SiteSupport link with the person you want to help or you can integrate SiteSupport with your website. We'll explain this in more detail below.

Sharing a SiteSupport link

In the first case you can generate your SiteSupport link on your welcome screen. You can than share this personal SiteSupport link with friends, coleagues or customers.

When people open this link the'll end up on your SiteSupport page, where they'll be asked for their contact details. Once those are filled in a new session is started, which will then appear on your dashboard.

Website Integration

A much nicer way to use our service is to integrate it with your website. We provide a small code snippet which you can find on your configuration page in your dashboard. When you include this in your HTML page, we'll automaticly show a widget on your website where customers can request SiteSupport.

The snippet is lazily loaded from our worldwide CDN so it will not impact your page load time.

How do I modify the widget?

If you want to change the appearance simply make sure that you toggle the snippet to not automatically display itself in the configuration panel.

The SiteSupport code will still be loaded and you can now call our API functions. Here is a simple example how you can create your own form to create a pending SiteSupport request.

How to get the best experience?

For SiteSupport to function optimally it is important that your website works correctly in both browsers. While we do our best to fix potential problems on the fly, you'll get the best experience when you have a website that's pixel perfect, valid HTML and doesn't rely on 3rd party techniques (ie Flash).
